SABER Alzheimer Awareness Program - Communication
SABER Alzheimer Awareness Program - Communication
Artist Collaboration: Andy Dicker (@yawnsnarlos)
Limited Edition Drop
Alzheimer's disease can affect more than memory.
One common symptom is difficulty with communication — including trouble finding the right word, substituting the wrong word, or using descriptive phrases when the intended word becomes difficult to access.
For this Alzheimer's Awareness Project board, artist and skater Andy Dicker depicts that idea through a graphic where a person confuses "duct tape" for "duck tape" — and ends up duct taping a duck to the wall.
It's a lighthearted visual that opens the door to a much bigger conversation about brain health, communication, and the lived experience of Alzheimer's disease.
Net proceeds from this board will support SABER Foundation's brain health education and community outreach programs.
